"Bowl Your Heart Out for Adoption" Great Valentine's Day Present

Albuquerque, N.M. (02/09/06) Give the love of your life a spot on a "Bowl Your Heart Out for Adoption" Bowl-a-thon team. Valentine's Day is the day of love and what better way to express love than by helping a child search for and find a family.

The "Bowl Your Heart Out for Adoption" event will be held at the Santa Ana Star Casino Starlight Lanes on Sunday, February 26 from 9 a.m. until dark. Proceeds from the event will benefit The Adoption Exchange and New Mexico children searching to find parents.
"Great organizations and individuals have shown great heart and signed up," said Rick Brinneman, New Mexico Development Coordinator for The Adoption Exchange. "These organizations include Charter Bank, The Isotopes and the Rick Johnson Agency. We have more than 60 bowler spots filled and there are many more available."

The Santa Ana Star Casino Starlight Lanes is a new bowling facility that has fast become the premier venue in the state. It is located West of Bernalillo and North of Rio Rancho on State Road 550. The bowl-a-thon will feature teams of five members. Each team will bowl three games. Trophies will awarded for High Pin team, High Pin best corporate team, highest average and gutter-ball champions.

Currently New Mexico has between 200 and 250 children in urgent need of adoption placement. The Adoption Exchange provides the connection between children who wait and families who adopt. The Adoption Exchange recruits families for children who have survived abuse and neglect; provides training and knowledge to permanency planning professionals and provides information and follow-up support to adoptive families.

Joining the bowl-a-thon will cost $40 per team member. Silver bowling team sponsorships are $500, Gold sponsorships are $1000 and Title sponsorships are $5000. Special promotional efforts and number of teams vary depending on level of sponsorship.
